REBETIKO – A MUSICAL JOURNEY THROUGH GREECE’S UNTOLD HISTORY
Thousands of years after the Golden Age of Pericles and some time before the grandeur of the 2004 Olympic Games is a period of Greece’s history that is not often told. It is a story of war, uprooting, poverty and heartbreak, a story that provided all the raw material for the creation of the music called REBETIKO.
Enjoy a journey through time, music and dance and experience “real Greece”. Dance at a traditional wedding celebration in Asia Minor and listen to songs made of love, heartbreak, longing for home and hope for the future.
